Ashton: Old Church Billiard with Bamboo (XXX)

Product Number: 002-006-2756

While bamboo has grown in popularity and become a staple within modern artisan pipe making, the trend's origins date back to mid-century English marques that used ferrules of bamboo as a means of saving briar during WWII shortages. In this traditional Billiard, Ashton hearkens back to that 1940s convention, the shank comprised primarily of two knuckles of bamboo. The warm, golden hues of the Old Church sandblast complement the lighter hues of the bamboo for a brighter, consistent color palette.
