Ashton: Achievement Bent Dublin with Antler Army Mount (XX)
Product Number: 002-006-2821
Though the bowl is over two inches tall (the chamber depth on par with that of Group 5) and the overall length well over five and half inches, this bent Dublin from Ashton still weighs under 32 grams and strikes an impressively well-balanced disposition and easily clenched posture. Such a nature is due in no small part to the slender proportions of the bowl as well as pairing the angled transition to the long, gracefully downturned stem. Dressed in a dark, craggy sandblast, well-defined rings of ring grain climb the bowl's flanks until meeting the softly inflated, tapered rim.
It's offered here as part of the esteemed Achievement series — a line that Jimmy Craig typically reserves for pipes showcasing alternate accenting materials or unique shaping cues. The stummel's deep crimson stain combines strikingly with a antler army mount, its pale coloration providing some stunning contrast. The willowy, demi-Churchwarden stem imbues the profile with elegance and should prove to be more comfortable when enjoyed in a relaxing armchair.-Truett Smith
