Ashton: Achievement Lovat with Silver Cap and Spiral Carving (LX)

This Lovat from Ashton is classically inclined in terms of its proportions, but rather unique in its execution. The stout, rather robust Billiard bowl offers a generous tobacco chamber and is perhaps the most traditional element of this piece. The lengthy shank is carved in handsome, muscular spirals, with the jet-black saddle stem complementing the stummel's dark, subtly warm stain. This offering is presented here as part of the Achievement series, a line that Ashton reserves for pipes showcasing alternate accenting materials or unique shaping cues. A sterling silver rim cap further elevates this composition, contrasting the piece's dark color palette while also protecting against any charring.
