This Bulldog from Ashton, while bearing the twin beadlines about the bowl and diamond-shaped shank particular to the shape, displays a bowl that is taller and narrower in profile than is often seen. One of the larger sizes offered by the maker, this piece bears an "LX" stamp and is of considerably robust dimensions. Jimmy Craig upholds the workshop's reputation for premium quality with this truly remarkable piece and has chosen the deep ruby hues and sandblast of their popular Pebble Grain to adorn the stummel. The shank and stem protrude, arrow straight, from a pronounced heel, and the unadorned black stem matches the briar's seriousness and beauty.
