Ashton: Brindle Acorn (XX)

Product Number: 002-006-3049

This Ashton Acorn is a softer shape from the English tradition of pipe making. While not as supple as, say, Danish renditions, the slightly bulging waistline of the bowl lends a gentle aspect to the form, calling to mind the Rhodesian but with a less dramatic taper and less defined ridgeline or beadline. That rounded style of bowl, then, is contrasted by the crispness of the flattened rim and the sturdy shoulders of the saddle stem, and the red and black hues of the cumberland mouthpiece match well with the stummel's dark plum sandblast.
