Typically, bent pipes offer a more comfortable smoking posture — the Oom Paul being one of the most balanced thanks to its full bend — but they rarely make for good desk pipes, not being able to rest upright. This rendition from Ashton, though, offers the best of both worlds, the stretched heel being flattened to ensure sturdy sitting. Tall and cylindrical of bowl, with a robust transition and upward rising shank and stem, it's a classic rendition, fitting into Ashton's traditional style and dressed here in the texture Pebble Grain sandblast.
