This bent Dublin from Ashton is a slight departure from the workshop's devotion to classic English shapes, with craftsman Jimmy Craig incorporating a diamond shank and flattened heel into the design, but it's a rendition often seen in the English marque's portfolio. The bowl displays a very subtle flare, a serious-feeling interpretation for a Dublin, a form well suited to the dark hues and texture of the English marque's Pebble Grain sandblast. The Bulldog-like shank rises with aplomb to the matching diamond-shaped bent stem. Rendered in Ashton's XXX size, the piece is medium by designation and just about five-and-a-half inches in overall length.
