Ashton: Sovereign Billiard with Silver (ELX) Tobacco Pipe

A commanding straight Billiard by Jimmy Craig of Ashton pipes, this Sovereign rendition weighs in at a quarter of a pound and boasts kingly dimensions indeed. The traditional Billiard design is rendered with faithful precision, as I expect from the English workshop, but with a bowl that is as a bit oversized even for the lengthy, nearly eight-inch-long profile. It offers a wealth of briar to protect its massive tobacco chamber, and dresses it a light smooth finish to let the brair's grain do all the talking. A tapered, jet-black vulcanite stem shows off Jimmy's precise shaping around the button and provides excellent contrast against the lighter stummel, while a broad silver band crowns the shank end with elegance.
