Ashton: Ebony Tomato with Silver (XXX) Tobacco Pipe

Ashton's Jimmy Craig and team are known for crafting timeless English shapes that are dressed in iconic finishes, with this Apple-like Tomato being a fine example of their design aesthetic. The plump, broad-based bowl displays a gradual taper to the rim and while it's low-lying, the English workshop has certainly fashioned many renditions that are far more squat. It's paired to an oval shank and jet-black, vulcanite stem that turns down at the bit, the curvature bringing to mind the Prince shape. Wearing an extra-dark sandblasted finish, this piece is further accentuated by a trim silver ring at the shank end, lending a dress-pipe aesthetic.
