Ashton: Brindle Bent Dublin (XXX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-3405
One of my favorite aspects of Ashton's pipe-making approach is their ability to put their own unique spin on shape-chart standards through utilizing stunning finishes and colorful brindled vulcanite stems. Both of those aspects are proudly displayed on this Dublin, the tall bowl subtly flaring and the saddle stem lithely bent behind. Finished in a craggy sandblast, courtesy of their Brindle line, a wild array of rippling grain wraps around from the right flank over the top of the bowl, with the left showcasing textural birdseye. The glossy, dark stain dressing the briar pairing nicely with the black and green tones of the vulcanite saddle stem.
