Ashton: Brindle Tomato with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-3433
Jimmy Craig and the other Ashton artisans often hew closely to English shape chart standards, maintaining the workshop's reputation for classically timeless pipes. That doesn't mean they don't sometimes stray from the norm though. This Tomato is one such piece, marked by an extra-squat, broad-waisted bowl. Most unique, however, is the higher placement of the transition, which lends prominence to the heel and gives the bowl an even more spherical disposition. Dressed in a craggy sandblast and dark stain, this piece is accented by a broad band of silver at the junction and a brindled vulcanite stem of black and brown hues.
