This shape from Ashton is highly reminiscent of Dunhill's iconic "45" Poker shape, a design more commonly referred to as the "Don." Like the traditional Poker, the Don features a cylindrical, sturdy-sitting bowl with a raised transition. The stem of the Don, however, is longer than most Poker interpretations and downturned, fitting military mount-style into the abbreviated shank. The sandblasted finish perfectly suits this homage, unveiling a craggy display of grain around the tall bowl, with ruby tones visible beneath the dark stain mirrored in the hues of the brindle mouthpiece.
