Ashton: Pebble Grain Dublin (XXX) Tobacco Pipe

A firm and upright English classic from the venerable workshop of Jimmy Craig, this straight Dublin is a lovely representation of Ashton's more timeless shapes. The bowl sits proudly atop a pronounced heel, flaring gently toward the rim in a languid arc at the fore, while the aft keeps its lines a touch more stolid. There's plenty of room at the wide transition to drape a thumb, and the shank which ebbs forth from it meets a sleek taper of black vulcanite that lends the entire aft section of the pipe a gracile demeanor. Dressing the briar here is Ashton's iconic Pebble Grain sandblast, revealing quavering growth rings across the left flank and blasted birdseye on the right, all stained a classic, auburn-chestnut hue.
