Ashton: Brindle Cutty with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-3526
The Cutty is not a prevalent shape within Ashton's portfolio, making this offering from the English workshop rather rare. The shape is a holdover from the old clay pipes of the 16th and 17th centuries, and it has been fashioned here with Ashton's usual skill and focus on classic design. The slender bowl ebbs forward and forgoes the spur, opting instead for a gently lifting heel. Paired to a lithe, gently rising shank and elegantly downturned stem, this piece is dressed in a dark ruby sandblast for a delightfully traditional aesthetic that's enhanced by one of Jimmy Craig's gleaming silver bands.
