Ashton: Brindle Rhodesian with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe

Ashton is known for their classic English shaping, colorful brindled stems, crisp sandblasts, and elegant silverwork, all of which are on display with this handsome Rhodesian. Tall and muscular, the bowl here features a sharply defined ridgeline that demarcates the tapered rim from the rest of the stummel. The shank curls gently from the low-set transition before giving way to a military mouth of sterling silver, which itself gives way to a curved mouthpiece of yellow and green vulcanite. The mount allows the composition to be easily broken down, even while the pipe is still hot. A crisp, dark sandblast dresses the stummel and highlights a wealth of birdeye about the bowl, save for the rim, which is smoothly polished and stained a lighter color for a touch of contrast.
