Ashton: Pebble Grain Bent Billiard with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe

This bent Billiard from Ashton pairs a tall, full-bodied bowl to a high-kicking shank and a steeply curved stem of jet-black vulcanite. The bowl features a wide heel that gradually tapers toward the rim, while the transition displays a touch of cheeking the demarcates the fore and aft sides of the stummel. A sterling silver mount joins the shank with the stem and enables the composition to be easily broken down, even while the pipe is still hot. The Pebble Grain sandblast dresses the stummel and coaxes out rippling waves of grain about the bowl, providing plenty of visual and tactile intrigue.
