The Don is a unique rendition of the Poker shape, defined by a slightly canted cylindrical bowl, a flat, sure-sitting heel, and a long, slightly bent stem that fits mount-style into the abbreviated shank. Here, Ashton presents a thoroughly traditional take on the shape, and it's dressed in a dark, ruby-tinged sandblast that brilliantly accentuates the natural grain orientation of the briar. The colorful military mount and push-style stem ensure this piece can be easily disassembled, even while the pipe is still hot, making it a versatile Sitter, and a stylish one at that.
