Ashton: Claret Diplomat with Silver (XXX) Tobacco Pipe

An often overlooked classic shape, the Diplomat combines the graceful bend and supple curves of a Prince with a touch of extra stoutness, making for a pleasingly rounded form with plenty of chamber and a solid feel in hand. Marked by conventionally muscular proportions through the broad bowl and ovoid shank, this piece fits well in the hand and can be clenched with ease thanks to its light weight and the saddle stem's downturn. Finished here in the Claret line's ruby-tinged sandblast, undulating growth rings wrap around the bowl while the vibrant black and yellow tones of the mouthpiece and the elegant silver band at the junction provide some striking contrast.
