This LX-sized Lovat from Ashton is long, muscular, and hearty. It pairs a tall, upright bowl to a protracted round shank and an abbreviated saddle stem for a sleek, streamlined appearance in profile. The bowl houses a deep chamber within its thick insulating walls, ensuring plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions. In addition to keeping the form lightweight, the understated presence of the shank and stem lends the bowl most of the visual weight within the composition. A crisp, ruby-hued sandblast dresses the stummel and accentuates dense whorls of birdeye across either flank of the bowl, while a sterling silver accent adorns the junction and provides a dose of flash to the overall composition.
