Ashton: Brindle Paneled Billiard (ELX) Tobacco Pipe

Measuring more than seven inches in length and boasting a bowl height of nearly three, this "ELX" is one of Ashton's larger offerings. The more than palm-filling bowl is framed by multiple crisp facets that make gripping it easier, along with a flattened underside that allows this whopper to sit sturdily upright. Out back, the panels continue through the gradually tapering shank and cumberland stem, the stretched-out silhouette quite striking. Jimmy Craig has dressed this piece in a dark sandblast that does well to show off the tall, wavy vertical grain engulfing the bowl.
