Ashton: Brindle Billiard with Bamboo (XXX) Tobacco Pipe

Ashton is known for many things: their dashing silverwork, extra-craggy sandblasts, brindled vuclanite stems, and fetching stains. It's something of a rarity, however, to see one of their pipes incorporate bamboo, as is the case with this sleek Billiard. Here, two knuckles of the dense grass extend the shank and add a warm naturalism to the shape's profile. Additionally, each knuckle of the bamboo is evenly spaced from the transition to the shoulders of the saddle stem, fostering a visual rhythm across the aft side of the composition. Dressed in a crisp, dark sandblast and topped with a cumberland mouthpiece, this piece offers a wealth of spectacle for the fingers and eyes to appreciate.
