Presented in ELX size, one of the largest sizes in Ashton's portfolio, this straight Dublin stretches past six inches in total length and boasts a bowl over two inches in height. The bowl, appropriately, houses a capacious chamber within its thick insulating walls, which should ensure plenty of long, leisurely smoking sessions. The shank-and-stem arrangement stretches out in an arrow-straight line that keeps the overall form sleek and well-balanced, its paneled form reinforcing the robust muscularity of the shape with four ridges that offer some robust rigidity. A crisp, earthy sandblast dresses the stummel and brings vivid definition to the natural grain orientation of the briar, with vast constellations of birdseye on either flank of the bowl, while the midsection is striated by growth rings. For further visual appeal, this piece is topped with a jet-black vulcanite stem that's veined with streaks of crimson, keeping it consistent with the palette of the stummel, though still introducing some intrigue at the aft side.
