Ashton: Old Church Bent Billiard Sitter with Silver (XXX) Tobacco Pipe

While we've seen this design from Ashton a handful of times in the past, this particular bent Billiard Sitter is one of my favorites. From form to finish, this is quite an impressive piece and should be an excellent candidate for anyone in search of a new desk pipe. The bowl exhibits a proud, upright posture, sitting stably on any flat surface and offering a respectably deep chamber within. The low-set transition provides ample room for the thumb to comfortably rest before leading to the lifting shank and elegantly downturned saddle stem. It's finished here in the Old Church sandblast with plenty of crisp texture for wandering fingers to enjoy, its palette kept classic thanks to the jet-black vulcanite of the mouthpiece, while a sterling silver accent band lends it a refined aesthetic.
