A soft, gestural shape from Ashton, this Acorn offers a tall, slightly canted bowl that rises from a plump, rounded heel to a broad, high-set waistline. An upturned shank and a steeply curved saddle stem bring up the rear of the composition, the duo striking a lively S-curve that encourages a comfortable smoking posture and lends a good bit of fluidity to the pipe's profile. The handsome Old Church sandblast dresses the stummel and unveils rippling growth rings across the flanks of the bowl, while a sterling silver accent adorns the junction and ties the entire form together with a touch of flash.
