A sleek, streamlined composition, this Lovat from Ashton boasts all of the form's tell-tale features, including a firm, upright Billiard bowl, a protracted round shank, and an abbreviated saddle stem. In addition to being quite visually appealing, this piece boasts a comfortable in-hand presence, with the bowl's rounded contours conforming naturally to wrapping fingers, and the open transition offering more than enough room to drape a digit. An extra-craggy rendition of the Pebble Grain sandblast dresses the stummel and draws out rippling growth rings along the bowl's flanks, while a sterling silver accent adorns the junction and ties the entire composition together with a dose of flash.
