Ashton: Claret Lovat with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe

Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This Lovat by Jimmy Craig of Ashton is a classically inclined shape: the pert, canted bowl, the elongated rounded shank, and the abbreviated saddle stem are all essential elements of the iconic shape. The dressing stands out on this traditional Lovat, with the bright, cherry-colored hues of the Claret sandblast shining alongside a broad silver band.
