Ashton's Dublin shapes are easy to recognize, as Jimmy Craig's skill with both classic English shaping and metalwork result in pieces that are as charmingly traditional as they are impressively crafted. Here we see one of those straight Dublins, with a svelte length of shank and stem, balancing out the tall, flared bowl. This particular iteration is dressed in the warm tanblast of Ashton's Old Church finish, revealing some handsome ring grain rippling up the bowl, its hues contrasted wonderfully by the silver band at the shank end.
