Ashton: Pebble Grain Billiard with Silver (XXX) Tobacco Pipe

Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This piece by Ashton toes the line between Billiard and Liverpool, presenting a lengthy rounded shank and an abbreviated tapered stem, giving this Billiard an especially sleek profile. Out front, the bowl showcases traditional proportions while serving as a superb canvas for Ashton's Pebble Grain sandblast that highlight craggy growth rings that undulate around the bowl. Additionally, the ruby-hued stain and jet-black vulcanite stem give this pipe an understated appeal, while the silver accent band provides a prestigious flourish.
