Ashton: Claret Paneled Prince (X) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-3841
Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This paneled Prince by Ashton possesses a lithe shank-and-stem arrangement, with an abbreviated shank meeting a lengthy, downturned stem of jet-black vulcanite. The bowl is much firmer in comparison, its hexagonal panels lending it crisp geometry while the ruby-hued Claret sandblast creates a rugged surface. This firm yet supple pipe is a unique interpretation of the Prince shape that will catch anyone's eye.
