Ashton: Pebble Grain Apple with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe

Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This Apple by Ashton features a squat bowl possessed of a bulging heel, thick walls, and a broad rim, creating a robust in-hand feel. Out back, the shank and stem are arrow straight, providing a sleek, proportional balance to the hearty bowl poised at the fore. Additionally, this piece is dressed in the rugged texture of the Pebble Grain sandblast, its jet-black hues complemented by a bright flash of silver on the shank end.
