Ashton: Claret Bent Bulldog with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe

Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This bent Bulldog by Ashton features the marque's Claret sandblast, dressing rippling growth rings in an eye-catching, ruby stain that gives this classic pipe a modern look. Moreover, the muscular Bulldog bowl is paired to the shape's requisite diamond shank, which showcases Ashton's superb line work in its sharp, linear ridges that counter the natural texture of the sandblast. The vulcanite saddle stem keeps the profile trim while its substantial bit provides a secure and comfortable clench. Additionally, the elegant silver accent on the shank end gives the composition a flashy flourish.
