An often overlooked classic shape, the Diplomat combines the graceful bend and supple curves of a Prince with a touch of extra stoutness, making for a pleasingly rounded form with plenty of chamber and a solid feel in hand. Marked by conventionally muscular proportions through the broad bowl and ovoid shank, this piece fits well in the hand and can be clenched with ease thanks to its light weight and the saddle stem's downturn. Finished here in the Brindle line's earth-tinged sandblast, undulating growth rings wrap around the bowl while the cumberland stem offers some complimentary hues: a silver band at the junction lending the composition rich contrast.
