Ashton: Brindle Bent Billiard (XX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-3943
Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This bent Billiard by Ashton is classic rendition of the shape, pairing an upright, supple bowl to a well-bent, rounded shank that emerges from a broad, sweeping transition. Furthermore, a sinuous saddle stem creates an comfortable posture for jaw-hanging, while the vivid cumberland adds a splash of color to the composition. In contrast, the stummel is dressed in a jet-black stain and sandblast, fostering an understated and rugged aesthetic.
