Ashton: Old Church Bent Billiard with Silver (XXX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-4027
Bill Ashton-Taylor got his start making pipes for Dunhill, but after mastering the craft, realized he needed to set out on his own, so he founded the British marque Ashton. Sadly, Bill passed away in 2009, but pipe maker Jimmy Craig proudly carries on the Ashton name. This bent Billiard by Ashton is a classic rendition of the English shape-chart standard. The tall, tapered bowl is paired to a well-bent shank-and-stem arrangement, creating a smoking posture perfectly suited for comfortable jaw-hanging. The stummel is dressed in one of Ashton's iconic finishes, the chestnut hues of the Old Church sandblast, which showcases craggy ripples of growth rings and fiery flame grain on the bowl. Additionally, a shining silver accent on the shank end provides a dash of flash to the tan color palette.
