Ashton: Old Church Poker (XXX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-4028
Eager to become part of the pipe making process, Bill Ashton-Taylor started working as an apprentice at Dunhill in 1959 when he was only 15 years old. With a burning passion and a high standard for quality pipe making, he would go on to found the Ashton marque, whose legacy has been carried on by Jimmy Craig since Bill's passing in 2009. This Poker by Ashton takes classic features of the shape and presents them in bulkier proportions. The bowl stands tall, with thick, straight walls rising high from a flat heel. A muscular shank transitions from the bowl and joins a tapered stem imbued with swirling hues of green. Dressing the stummel is Ashton's Old Church sandblast, granting it a warm, earthy complexion that delightfully contrasts the cooler tones of the stem.
