Ashton: Pebble Grain Apple with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-006-4110

Headed by Jimmy Craig, English workshop Ashton primarily crafts pipes of a timeless, classical style, often elevated by stems of signature brindled vulcanite and fitments of elegant silver. This Apple is a good example of the chart-standard archetype, and it's one rendered with a slightly stouter bowl compared to other Apples from Ashton. Nearly than six inches long, this pipe boasts a slender shank and stem combination, with the short shank pushing out of the wide transition and being capped by a domed military mount: acting as the junction to a willowy, tapering stem of black vulcanite. Up front, the bowl stands on a rounded heel, growing into a low-set waist that gives way to walls that make a softly arcing taper to the rim. Dressed in the crisp, earthy sandblast of the Brindle series, this pipe showcases handsome grain and rich texture, with added practicality and rich contrast offered by the silver mount.
