Ashton: Brindle Billiard with Silver (XXX) Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-006-4197

Founded in 1983 by William "Bill" Ashton-Taylor, who worked as a Dunhill apprentice, the Ashton workshop is lauded for its incredibly high standards of quality and mastery of classic English design principles. Jimmy Craig currently heads the company, having taken up the mantle after Bill's passing in 2009. Since then, he has sustained the Ashton legacy by steadfastly following the founder's philosophy of equally prioritizing all parts of the pipe, and utilizing only the best materials and most pristine finishing. Today, the English marque is known for combining classic shaping and elegant finishing with eye-catching accents and colorful stems. This dashing Billiard is one such example.

This offering possesses classic proportions and strikes an elegant profile. The bowl is hearty of chamber and has a handsomely rounded heel. The shank, arrow-straight and succinct in length, is flat on the bottom, allowing the pipe to sit proudly upright when not in use. A silver accent band adorns the junction — eye-catching without compromising elegance. Dressing the stummel is a crisp, chestnut-stained sandblast that lends this piece both aesthetic appeal and tactile intrigue. The stummel has been fitted to a bold, brindled stem replete with bright orange and inky black ripples.
