Ashton: Pebble Grain Bent Dublin with Silver (XX) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-006-4205
Founded in 1983 by William "Bill" Ashton-Taylor, who worked as a Dunhill apprentice, the Ashton workshop is lauded for its incredibly high standards of quality and mastery of classic English design principles. Jimmy Craig currently heads the company, having taken up the mantle after Bill's passing in 2009. Since then, he has sustained the Ashton legacy by steadfastly following the founder's philosophy of equally prioritizing all parts of the pipe, and utilizing only the best materials and most pristine finishing. Today, the English marque is known for combining classic shaping and elegant finishing with eye-catching accents and colorful stems. Showcasing handsome shaping and fine finishing, this strapping bent Dublin is one such example.
Forgoing any dramatic flare, the walls of this Dublin's bowl widen ever so slightly toward the rim. Below, that bowl's firm heel transitions into a short shank accented by a silver army mount. Said mount allows the pipe to be easily disassembled for storage or cleaning, adding a practical yet elegant touch to the piece. The stummel of this offering wears Ashton's signature Pebble Grain finish, replete with stimulating texture and stained a rich chestnut hue.
