This Billiard from Ashton offers a muscular but lightweight take on the classic shape, perfect for those who enjoy the refined elegance of shape-chart standards with a little extra in-hand presence. The bowl, plump and perched upright at the pipe's fore, makes a wide transition into a buff shank, which goes on to pass through a silver accent on its way to joining with a vulcanite stem swiftly tapering to the bit. Ashton's Sovereign finish is only ever used for those pipes which showcase the finest of grain, such as what can be seen in this Billiard. The honey blonde stain applied to the smooth stummel spotlights incredible straight grain around the bowl and across the flanks of the shank.
