Askwith: Smooth Billiard Tobacco Pipe

Chris Askwith knows how to execute a classic shape, and this straight, smooth Billiard is one of those that needs little explanation. Elegant of line, straight as an arrow, with an upright bowl and perfectly-aligned cross-cut grain at the fore, it's one that brings to mind some of those older English and French pieces. A warm, classical stain and stem of creamy acrylic only serve to reinforce that feeling, the latter in particular bringing to mind the old-fashioned appearance of horn, though with a much more sturdy material.
