Askwith: Sandblasted Morta Paneled Poker with Horn Stem Tobacco Pipe

While we've previously seen Chris Askwith use horn as an accenting material, this offering marks the first time we've received a pipe from the English carver that features a stem crafted from the organic material. The creamy tones of the tapered horn mouthpiece stand out in stark contrast against the stummel's jet-black color. Shape-wise, Chris has taken an architectural approach to the timeless Poker design as a series of six panels line the towering, deep chambered bowl. Said bowl has been crafted from morta and treated to a well-executed sandblast that has brought out a captivating display of tight, uniform grain patterns across each facet. The firm lines of the panels offer a sturdy feel in hand and when paired to the crisp texture of the sandblasted finish, you have a pipe that's quite difficult to put down.
