Askwith: Sandblasted Morta Bent Dublin

Product Number: 002-499-0276

An almost Calabash-like bent Dublin shape, this bent Dublin from Chris Askwith reveals simplicity of line and form, though that seeming simplicity is anything but simple to achieve. Among the more reserved pieces we've received from Chris, it's constructed of morta, also known as bog oak, which is oak that has partially petrified over hundreds of years resting in bogs. Here, that dark morta is beautifully contrasted by the polyester mouthpiece of yellow and black. The result is a comforting, nosewarmer pipe with an eager, active look about it, and likely of a significantly lighter weight than the same form rendered in briar.
