Askwith: Rusticated Billiard with Horn Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-499-0326

Chris Askwith's horn-accented pipes are few and far between, and this is only the second Billiard example we've received from the English carver that features horn. Compared to that previous example, this rendition is decidedly bolder of proportions: The bowl is of Stack height and chamber depth, especially compared to the shank's length — even with the horn extension. Said accent is a beautiful, amber-toned section of horn that catches the light for a stunningly deep tone. Matching that warm hue, the stummel bears a ruddy stain overtop a concise rustication that Askwith has applied quite tightly. The stem, however, contrasts the brown and amber tones of the briar and horn, having been fashioned from white polyester and fitting in well with Chris' convention for colorful mouthpieces.
