Askwith: Sandblasted Nosewarmer Billiard Tobacco Pipe

Product Number: 002-499-0448

English artisan Chris Askwith began his pipe journey in 2006, when he first started smoking a pipe and realized that the tools he used as a silversmith could be used to repair pipes. In 2007, he met Paul Hubbart, the man behind Larryson pipes, who gave Askwith a chance to make some pipes from scratch. Askwith eventually invested in specialized tooling that allowed him to produce original pipes full-time, and since then, he's become a prominent figure in artisan pipe making. This Billiard showcases Askwith's unique style, which consists of modernized takes on classic Anglo-French standards

Though incredibly compact in terms of length, measuring just a bit over four inches from end to end, this Billiard boasts a rather deep chamber within the tall, Stack-like bowl. Said bowl displays a subtle upward taper that's accentuated by the wide heel and the neat, well-defined transition. The arrow-straight shank-and-stem arrangement keeps the shape's entire silhouette sleek and understated, allowing the handsome finishing and stem work to take center stage. A dark sandblast envelopes the stummel and brings vivid definition to the briar's natural grain, while a tapered stem of purple and white polyester tops things off and adds a dose colorful vibrancy to the pipe's otherwise reserved palette.
