Here we have a tall-bowled Rhodesian from Chris Askwith rendered in the English artisan's unique, angular style. Though the shank and stem are both sleek and streamlined, the bowl boasts a size and grandeur that fits substantially in hand and houses a generous chamber. Uniquely, Chris has carved the shape's definitive ridgeline quite low on the bowl, positioning it just above the transition and creating a conical taper towards the rim. The whole piece has been encased in a wavy sandblast and paired to a polyester stem of bright yellow tones, a touch that bespeaks Askwith's modernist color conventions.
