Becker: Sandblasted Cherrywood (Four Clubs)
Product Number: 002-007-0577
If the wasp-waist transition, dramatically flaring shank, and fine tapered stem isn't enough to clue you in, the artisan also included one of his extra-broad, yet minimalist cylindrical bowls, thus ensuring that there would be no mistaking for the work of another. Paolo is arguably known as the most fiercely individualist and artistic of the Italian pipemakers around, the fact that he is Austro-Italian probably has a bit to do with that, but I tend to chalk up his visionary shaping to him simply being "Paolo". This sandblasted, Four Clubs Cherrywood is very Paolo.
