Becker: Sandblasted Dublin (Three Clubs)
Product Number: 002-007-0745
The Becker aesthetic personified in one pipe, this Dublin is a prime example of Federico's work. It's a piece that can be defined in a word: crisp. The silhouette is marked by sleek lines, a jaunty forward cant, and a sharply pointed heel — all conventional aspects of Becker's shaping style. Arrow straight and incredibly streamlined through the shank and stem, the bowl rises prominently up front, remaining slender and Chimney-esque in height while the slightly tilted angle of the rim accentuates the forward urging momentum and echoes the angled heel and transition. Crisp of form and profile, this piece is equality crisp of finish; it's dressed in a concise, well textured sandblast, the dark stain accented by a walnut contrast along the smooth polished rim and underside as well as the warm-hued cumberland stem out back.-Truett Smith
