Becker: Sandblasted Poker (Two Clubs) Tobacco Pipe

Easily recognizable as the work of Federico Becker, this Poker features a rather full-bodied, upright bowl with a slight sloping to the rim and a flattened base. The Italian carver's penchant for pencil-thin shanks is seen here and is topped by an elegantly tapered, jet-black stem. Proportionally neoclassic, the bowl garners the visual weight. The stummel is dressed in one of Becker's dark, well-executed sandblasts, accentuating the tight-knit ring grain across the bowl, while the rim and heel wear a polished mahogany stain, revealing stunning pinpricks of birdseye.
