Becker: Sandblasted Poker (Two Clubs) Tobacco Pipe
Product Number: 002-007-0846
Third-generation carver Federico Becker presents a streamlined Poker of near Nosewarmer length here, forgoing his penchant for crafting pipes imbued with crisp angularity for a more softened style that yet remains dynamic. The bowl displays a smooth, subtly flaring rim that slopes downward from the fore, offering a slight protrusion and lending a forward sense of momentum. The shank flares almost imperceptibly toward the elegantly tapered stem from the slender transition, embodying the Italian artisan's commitment to precise shaping and spot-on line work with a hint of whimsy. The stummel wears one of Becker's dark, well-executed sandblasts, showing off tightly stacked, rippling ring grain across the bowl, with the aforementioned smooth rim and heel stained a complementing color, highlighting a wealth of beautiful birdseye. This Poker is another example of the carver's well-honed skills and will certainly elevate one's collection of handsome Italian briars.
