Becker: Sandblasted Billiard (Two Clubs) Tobacco Pipe

A third-generation pipe maker, Federico Becker continues the long legacy of his grandfather Fritz and father, Paolo. Although Federico is based in Italy, many of his pipes are inspired by the English tradition, creating an aesthetic that is uniquely Becker. Feederico continues the signature Becker style, pairing crisp line work with sleek proportions and typically dressing his pipes in light smooth finishes or dark sandblasts.

This Billiard possesses one of Becker's signature design cues, an elongated shank-and-stem arrangement that pairs a thin, undersized shank with a lengthy cumberland tapered stem, which creates a sleek profile. Perched at the fore of said arrangement is a gently-canted bowl dressed in a rippling black sandblast, which, along with the cumberland stem, reminds one of classic English pipes. However, the blast is absent on the rim, highlighting a wealth of birsdeye in a walnut stain, and the nomenclature panel, which stretches from the shank end to the sharp heel, offering visual contrast and adding a subtle textural respite.
